What is the Orchard Project?
The project uses nature, creativity and freedom within the magical setting of our very own Orchard to deliver a truly unique experience for people. Each person has a tailored and individual programme with their own set of goals including:
Building communication
Increasing community engagement
Developing choice and decision-making skills
Exploring individual interests
The Orchard Project helps people to learn and develop through experiences, fun and adventure.
Who is the Orchard Project for?
For people with more individual needs who benefit from experiencing space, freedom and being in nature. It is also beneficial for people who need a low arousal natural environment and who may need a smaller group setting.
When does the Orchard Project run?
Monday to Friday throughout the year. Each day starts at 9:30am and finishes at 3:30pm.
How can people attend the Orchard Project?
There are lots of different ways people can attend ELHAP, including local authority funding and direct payments.
